Database Assistant

JOB SUMMARY:
The Database Assistant is responsible for the accurate collection and reporting of data in accordance with manufacturer contract requirements. Will also maintain application databases and supply Business Intelligence reports to management as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Uses assorted technologies to collect, compile and manipulate data from multiple data sources.
- Transmits market reports in a timely manner to industry manufacturers and vendors.
- Development of applications to collect and access required data.
- Implements appropriate educational and training programs to ensure efficient use of integrated systems.
- Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum 2 years Microsoft SQL database administration experience. Familiarity with Microsoft SSRS desired.
- Experience managing change and creating documentation for production systems.
- Demonstrated effective trouble-shooting skills, customer service oriented approach to delivering IT solutions and a genuine team player attitude.
- Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise.
- Ability to communicate with and understand the requirements of professional staff in area of specialty.
- Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
